Why Functional Safety Needs to be at the Center of Your Automotive Engineering

Creating technology can be a complicated and time-consuming process. At LHP Engineering Solutions, we provide just that; solutions. One way we provide our clients with solutions is with our advisory management model, Ecosystem.

Ecosystem is a seven-area model which, when all areas work together, can help you create an efficient process which produces great and safe technology.

Ecosystem Focus Areas:

For example, we get requests for help in each focus area individually. However, we would like to challenge our customers way of traditional thinking. It is our belief that Functional Safety needs to be at the core of an organization’s development process, not just an after-thought. Functional Safety is the backbone of all other safety processes in the autonomous vehicle development phase

The same applies for application lifecycle management tools which manage your requirements and more. Some clients will have a different test group when they really should have those separate teams working together to automate that process. You don’t take requirements and cut and paste them and move them on to a different device and then base the results and move them on to the prior device.

When we talk about AUTOSAR, which is a platform for functional safety, you shouldn’t have a separate AUTOSAR team, you should have a team that develops orders on its functional safety complaint.

The Benefit of Ecosystem with LHPES

We offer a holistic solution to address all of the seven focus areas which is custom to each client’s environment. No two clients are the same and we can help create custom solutions for our client’s technology needs.

LHP Engineering Solutions was founded in 2001 with the mission to provide the means to create a safer, smarter, and more connected world by enabling safer autonomous technologies through the LHP functional safety ecosystem.

LHP Engineering Solutions (LHP), an engineering services provider and technology leader in transportation functional safety, today announcced the addition of Marty Muse to its Executive Team as Vice President of Marketing.
